The purpose of this qualification is to ensure graduates acquire the skills which are common across all small business roles. During this course students will develop skills and knowledge needed to operate effectively as a supervisor or frontline manager. By the end of this course, students will be able to plan work schedules, monitor performance, develop and maintain business relationships and to demonstrate an appropriate leadership style. This course provides competencies in establishing business networks, developing teams and individuals, coordinating business resources, coordinating implementation of customer service strategies, promoting innovation and change, implementing and monitoring environmental policies, maintaining financial records, promoting team effectiveneed, implementing effective workplace relationships, and prepare financial reports.
In order to gain entry into this course, the potential students must demonstrate completion of year 12 or equivalent and have a minimum English level at IELTS 5.5 or equivalent. Students enrolling in this vocational course must be over 18 years of age.
The course is delivered over 26 weeks with 20 weeks face to face delivery. The 20 weeks includes 4 blocks, each with teaching period of 5 weeks. Each week, students have 20 hours of class.
Delivery is conducted in English at the ANC site through face to face training in the classroom or in a computer lab. Training may include training sessions, presentations, student demonstrations, exercises, group work, projects, research, site visits and quest speakers.
Each subject will involve assessment tasks conducted through a variety of strategies, including formal exams, take home research assignments, demonstrations, projects, case studies and exercises.
The Diploma in Business Management will qualify you to work in a supervisory or managerial role or as a key functional member of a team. This program will allow students to demonstrate key management processes and skills identified as a basis for further career advancement in industry, commerce or government organisations. Upon successful completion of this program, you will be awarded an Advanced Diploma of Business Management.
This course has been designed for students wishing to enter an undergraduate business course at a university.
Upon successful completion of your course you will receive a nationally recognized Advanced Diploma of Business Management (BSB60201).
ANC is also a financial member of the Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) which protects students.
Successful completion of the Advanced Diploma may assist the student in gaining entry or advanced standing in certain undergraduate university courses.
Students can request Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) when a student enrols in the course or during induction. Students can receive credit towards their course based on their knowledge and skills gained through previous study, other formal or informal training, and work and/or life experiences.
